Oracle acquired cloud-based security and distributed denial of service (DDoS) mitigation company Zenedge. The startup helps secure critical IT systems deployed via cloud, on premises, and in hybrid environments. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Oracle will integrate Zenedge’s web application firewall (WAF) and DDoS capabilities into its enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure. Both the WAF and the DDoS products secure enterprises’ applications, networks, databases, and APIs from malicious Internet traffic.
