Citrix acquired Cedexis, a company specializing in application delivery and traffic management. Citrix will use Cedexis’ technology to streamline application and data delivery to the cloud, to manage network resources, and to improve traffic routing. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Cedexis’ cloud-native platform optimizes traffic across public clouds, data centers, content delivery networks (CDNs), and Internet service providers (ISPs) across global points of presence. Enterprises can use this programmable traffic steering to improve application performance in a variety of networking and cloud environments.
