Security giant McAfee is acquiring Canadian VPN provider TunnelBear. Terms of the deal haven’t been disclosed. McAfee said that it plans to integrate TunnelBear’s technologies into the company’s own VPN product, Safe Connect.

Microchip and Microsemi announced the $10 billion-plus deal late Thursday. Under a definitive agreement, Microchip will buy Microsemi for $68.78 per share in cash. Oracle acquired cloud-based security and distributed denial of service (DDoS) mitigation company Zenedge. The startup helps secure critical IT systems deployed via cloud, on premises, and in hybrid environments. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

VMware will acquire CloudCoreo, adding a public cloud security tool to its lineup. The virtualization giant didn’t disclose the purchase price for the Seattle-based startup. It will offer CloudCoreo’s security platform as a standalone service, according to a VMware spokesperson.
