Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Director / Director in Business Development for Calsoft’s new Gen AI Practice. This is a new practice and an opportunity to build and be part of a team from grounds-up. They will be responsible for hiring and leading an inside sales team of 2-3 people. The Associate Director will be located in Pune or Bengaluru, and have the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Responsible for business development and sales of Calsoft’s AI practice.
- Be responsible for a revenue target at a personal and team level.
- Be hands-on manager, drive the sales team, and ensure their productivity and efficiency in meeting the target.
- Be responsible for hands-on calling, lead generation and closing of new accounts to meet the revenue goals.
- Work in collaboration with the engineering and presales teams.
- Note: The activities performed in this scope are prospecting for new business, detailed qualification of sales opportunities, management of the sales cycle, and negotiation of contracts and agreements. Develop and implement sales strategies keeping short- and long-term goals in perspective.
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership, management, and collaboration skills
- Prior experience selling AI or ML services preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Should have managed an inside sales team from India but should be hands on with experience as an IC
- Should have sold into US and Europe market
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Build and develop executive relationships with customers, and work to grow new relationships. Influence long-term strategic direction and serve as a business partner.
- Negotiate and manage entire cycles, present to C-level executives in corporate and global customers.
- Lead account strategy in generating and developing business growth opportunities, working collaboratively with Principals to maximize business results in territory.
- Understand customers’ technology footprint, strategic growth plans, business drivers and technology strategy.
- Drive business development, forecast accurately and achieve strategic goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle.
- Meet & exceed sales targets & KPIs.
- Represent the organization at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations
- Provide support & recommendations for clients.
- 4+ yrs of experience in Cloud sales
- At least 2+ yrs of experience in Google Cloud sales
- Excellent Communication Skills (in Speaking & Writing).
- You should be highly energetic, motivated and self-managed.
- Good Understanding or Hands-on experience of PaaS, IaaS, Kubernetes, Containers & Microservices services
- Must have knowledge of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) market & cloud technology
- Experience of promoting product engineering services
- Excellent negotiation & inter-personal skills with a demonstrated history of over-achieving targets
- Strong campaign management skills; experience of documenting lead generation activities & maintaining CRM
- Excellent collaborative skills to support onsite sales teams and ensure coordination between the client & delivery teams
- Regular follow-ups & closures with prospects
- Extensive research on prospective clients, decision makers, Technology landscape
- Ability to research client and company background through websites and social-networking sites.
- Develop and maintain competitive knowledge on service offerings, industries and products to leverage in lead generation and research
- Connect with prospects via phone, email and social media, and build strong funnel of qualified leads
- Maintain a level of metrics to meet activity goals (cold calls, leads, proposals)
- Engage and build a strong customer relation by engaging in meaningful dialogue
- Communicate with various internal stakeholders on the next steps to address qualified leads
- Create a great first impression to move forward in the Sales cycle
- 2 – 6 years of experience in inside sales for a technology company
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills
- Structured approach to the sales cycle, good understanding of the technology industry.
- Should be willing to take initiative and ownership
- Willingness to work in parallel to USA Time Zone – 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM IST [ a must!]
- Experience of promoting product engineering services
- Excellent negotiation & inter-personal skills with a demonstrated history of over-achieving targets

- Strong experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Experience with common data science toolkits, such as Python is a Must. Should have Worked in Concurrency, Data pipelines and Data Ingestion for models
- Should have actually worked on ML models beyond the parameter tuning and interfacing
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, D3.js, Gplot, etc.-mandatory for Architect
- Experience with SQL databases and time series databases. Experience with noSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase would be an added advantage
- A Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent years (4 years)
- Creates and manages a machine learning pipeline, from raw data acquisitions to merging and normalizing to sophisticated feature engineering development to model execution
- Designs, leads and actively engages in projects with broad implication for the business and/or the future architecture, successfully addressing cross-technology and cross-platform issues. Selects tools and methodologies for projects and negotiates terms and conditions with vendors
- Curiosity about and a deep interest in how digital technology and systems are powering the way users do their jobs
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where digital is still evolving as a core offering
- For architect a must have – business development support and presales activities
- 4 to 12 years Java, Collections and OOPS
- Good With Basics and Advance concepts
- Good in Spring , Hibernate and Web Services
- Bring strategic ability and thinking to the group to reach technical goals
- Is able to complete highly technical assignments and solve complex problems using knowledge, creativity, and company practices and priorities
- Mentor less experienced developers in advanced concepts
- Review, designs, and implements plans to develop team members and code and takes necessary corrective actions if needed
- Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- 3+ years experienced Java Serverside developer with algorithms and data structures
- Hands on experience with spring boot, micro services, AWS OR Virtualization OR Networking is a plus
- Ideal and desired candidate should have MBA in Marketing (2019 / 2020 / 2021 passouts)
- Candidates with 1 years or less experience in IT sales / Marketing / Biz Dev will be highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience working on commercial, consumer-facing web apps like e-com, banking etc.
- Expert knowledge of React.Js/ Node.Js/Angular.Js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience with OAuth2, JWT, Rest APIs, SQL
- Excellent grasp of algorithms, data structures, and CS concepts such as asynchronous processing, multi-threading, queuing, pub-sub, etc.
- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
- Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- A knack for benchmarking and optimization
- Familiarity with code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial
- Experience working with large scale SaaS offerings
- Experience with public clouds (GCP/AWS/Azure)GCP preferred.
- 3 to 10 years of good experience in C/C++ System Programming experience is mandatory
- Experience in socket programming is a must
- Storage OR Server and Network Management – will be a very good plus
- Experience: 16+ yrs in purely technical leadership (no managerial experience to be considered), in QE & large part of that must be in automation
- Strong domain – SNVC skills.
- Strong test automation background and skills; Python + Java is preferred; however at least Python is must have.
- Automation experience must cover – framework design/development, creating test strategies and handling frequent changes in test requirement
- Excellent QE aptitude and experience in providing technical leadership to medium to large teams.
- Experience working in Agile environment
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written both)
- 3 to 10 years in system programming experience in Python in Linux/Unix environment
- Good In Basics python skills i e (python iterator , Oops , python generator)
- Exposure to Storage/Virtualization/Networking is a plus
- 3 to 7 years of experience CI/CD, Jenkins, builds, pipelines, build failures etc
- 3+ years experienced GoLang developer , channels, Go routines, and interfacing
- Hands on experience with the standard GoLang test library any of testing framework : testify, Gcheck, Goblin , Kubernetes Working knowledge of package management utilities like Glide/Dep, networking protocols
- At least 3 Years of experience with writing automated tests using Selenium
- Hands-on experience with Python
- Exposure to Pytest, Pycharm would be a plus
- Virtualization/Storage/Networking domain expertise (V-sphere, esxi, HyperV) is a MUST
- Working knowledge of Python, Docker/Containers/Kubernetes is a must , SRE experience is desirable
- Java based API Testing, Cucumber, Test driven development Automation engineers -core Java
- Experience in writing test cases for existing/new features in TestNG framework; products viz: SaaS, vmc, vSphere
- Nice to have : Storage & Virtualization domain
- 7+ years ServiceNow experience in JavaScript, HTML, libraries, frameworks Angular JS, jQuery
- Hands on experience in Integration and Implementation of ServiceNow
- ServiceNow certifications a plus (Ex: Sys admin, Implementer, Dev)
- JavaScript developer who is proficient developing new user-facing features using Angular/React/Vue JS
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
- 10+yrs of hands-on design and development experience in either JAVA or Python
- Strong knowledge of Storage/Virtualization and Cloud platforms and products Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures and multi-threading is a must
- O-RAN experience is a plus
