Job Description
  • 10+ years of hands on experience in Java/J2EE development
  • 3-5 yrs of experience in an architect role
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate with folks with varied experience
  • Architected and delivered at least 2 end-to-end enterprise JAVA/J2EE solutions on the JAVA/J2EE stack ranging from scripting, middleware and Integration and Enterprise components for an n-tier distributed solution. Experience in SOA and SOA related technologies, solutions and products is a must.  Experience in eBuisness Frameworks and products will be useful
  • Knowledge of the following AWS components- EC2, Mapreduce, RDS, EBS, S3, Simple DB, SQS, SNS, SES, Cloudwatch, Cloudfront, VPC, load balancing, auto scaling, Direct Connect
  • Mix of advanced technology and strategic business acumen-both broad and deep technology and industry knowledge
  • Ability to architect solutions by mapping customer business problems to end-to-end technology solutions
  • Exceptional demonstrated consulting skills
  • Effective in fostering executive level relationships
  • Resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both expectation and crisis management
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level technology and business decision maker discussions is a must, and is a key differentiator between a Technical Architect and a Solution Architect
  • Demonstrated ability to assess existing products portfolio and define migration strategy and roadmap including cloud provider selection & recommendation
  • Strong experience on JAVA/J2EE Integration technologies/ Frameworks is mandatory.  OpenSource Frameworks such as Spring, hibernate is required
  • Hands-on experience in at least one Architecture modeling tool with familiarity in a modeling language is a must
  • Experience should clearly demonstrate Industry patterns adopted, applied articulating the trade-offs and compromises adopted toward meeting the non-functionals
  • Providing detailed reliable solutions and developing statements of work and estimates for service implementations
  • Experience in J2EE clustering frameworks and in general clustering is an added advantage
  • Strong practical experience of performance engineering at all layers is required with experience in techniques such as profiling (manual & automated) is essential
